HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

Yes, I know I am little late with the New Years wishes, but I have been busy!

Anyhow, if you haven't been on it in a while, please feel free to check out my newly updated website. I decided to tackle Zen Cart during my holiday break and have learned a lot about reading .PHP coding. I was a bit disappointed that I could implement it on my already designed site, but I am digging the way it turned out with all my adjustments I made to the Zen template.

I have also been slowly adding my items to the store and also taking different photos of some of my items. Check out the Eco Chic Shoppers. I love the way they turned out. Especially the new Watermelon and Cherry ones :)

Fabrics

I finally got a chance to sit down and photograph most of the fabrics for my website. It took longer than expected because the kitties enjoy being in everything including the fabric. It was tough to "shoo" the cats away, lint roll any stray hairs and photograph at the same time, but I did it and I am happy with the results.

I've been busy lately and have neglected my website for a few weeks now. Well today I told myself that I was going to go home and work on my website when I got out of work at noon today. Well after I met my hubby for lunch, I did go home and do just that. I sat at home and made some minor adjustments to fonts and other stuff. I also made my product pages for some of my pages and finally put add to cart buttons on those pages. Now you will be able to purchase bags and accessories on the website. Hopefully I'll have all the pages done over the weekend.

Calendar

And it's up... I have been wanting to post a calendar of events on my website forever, but didn't like the idea of just making a list. That would be to hard to keep up with. I don't update that often and besides, I don't care to see event's that aren't updated on other people's sites. Anyhow, I got mine from Google. It allows me to add my events to the calendar and it automatically does the updating for me. Now I have my sale's listed (with details). I have a few craft shows listed as well. I'm so happy!

Website Down

Some of you may have noticed that my website has been down for about a week or so. It first started with my host. I don't know if I did something wrong or if my host needed to change something. My husband, being the tech nerd {spoken in love} as he is, upgraded the computer to using Internet Explorer 8. He loved it; he showed me all the features of the upgrade. Right now, I could care less. I never seem to appreciate the upgrade for months after the fact. Anyhow, with my issues of trying to upload to my web host and failing in all my attempts; I sat down and started to create another, updated site. Looking at my old site, I thought it was a bit dark. A black and grey background was really dark. It did not show my bright personality. It did not show my products for what they are. I decided to change my background to reflect the new blue logo I’ve created for myself. I’ve added other pages to my site, even a new ordering page. Right now the pages aren’t up and running. I want to launch when I am completely done editing all the pages on my site.

Creating a site all by myself has been a challenge, but so worth while. I can be a little ADHD with things, so having the know how in web building helps me to save some money and also change something on my site without waiting for another to design and finish it for me.
